FELLERBUNCHER, CHIPPER & CHIP SALES
Ascot Tree Services are a firm believer in recycling as much of the arisings that we produce through our contracting work.
New to our hire fleet is the Bruks 1004 CT Chipper and a Tigercat 720 Feller Buncher. This machine is equipped with either a 600mm capacity saw-head or a 500mm capacity bunching shear. The machine can cut and accumulate bunches of trees ready for direct terrain chipping with the Bruks Chipper.
Where ground conditions are poor or the topography too steep to make direct terrain chipping efficient, the Tigercat grapple skidder can be used to move the bunches of trees to an area where the chipper can work effectively.
With the ability to produce such large volumes of chip per day, moving chip from the chipper to stacking areas and loading onward to road transport has been an area in which we have concentrated considerable resources.
Special chip shuttle trailers, towed by agricultural tractors, or where site conditions are dictated by the skidder, move chip to stock piles, from which they are loaded into suitable trailers and onward to the end user. Where space is at a premium, chip can be tipped or blown directly to the end users, like Slough Heat and Power, or taken back to our chip storage facility, and processed into a variety of products as diverse as horse gallops and play area surfaces.
