New to the hire fleet in 2004 was the Bruks 1004 CT Chipper mounted on a Volvo A25 dump truck, modified for whole tree chipping, and fitted with LGP tyres.
This 580 HP machine can chip trees up to 760mm and can fill its high tipping 35³ meter chip bin in less than 9 minutes.
With powerful feed works, whole trees can be processed often without the need for any delimbing or cross cutting.
To keep this awesome machine working we have imported from the USA a Tigercat 720 feller-buncher and a large grapple skidder to cut and extract on more difficult terrain.
We also have chip shuttle trailers and loading shovels to maintain a constant flow of chip off site.
We can provide day rates, area pricing or lump sum rates.
APF 2006
At the APF show in September 2006, ATS demonstrated the Tigercat Feller buncher and the Bruks Chipper. Anyone attending this show will remember the awesome workings these machines demonstrated, and the speed in which they felled and chipped whole trees. Both machines are used within our fleet for contracting work and are available for hire with an operator on day rates. Lump sum rates or area pricing.
